The festival of Eid al-Fitr means “festival of breaking the fast” in Arabic. Eid al-Fitr one of the most precious festivals for the Muslim Ummah, the festival of Eid falls on the first day of the Islamic month of Shawwal, after the holy month of Ramadan, and also celebrated as the end of blessings in this month. The government of Pakistan has given a three-day public holiday on the occasion of Eid al-Fitr. These are holidays for schools, colleges and small businesses. In other countries where Muslims are in the minority, they pray and go about their normal work. Eid mostly celebrated on weekends in small Muslim places, where the Muslim community organizes a gathering and celebrates the festival.
